As a Moroccan native, I’ve always been captivated by the diversity and beauty of my home country. Tarfaya, a coastal gem in southwestern Morocco, had always been on my list of places to explore. When I finally made my way to this charming town, I was welcomed by a sight that felt like a homecoming. The rugged Atlantic coastline stretched before me, and the relentless waves spoke to my Berber soul, whispering tales of ancient seafarers and endless adventures.
Chapter #1: The Lighthouse of My Dreams
One of the first places I visited was the Lighthouse of Cape Juby. This iconic structure, built in 1933, holds a special place in Tarfaya’s history. Climbing to the top, I was treated to a view that took my breath away. The expanse of the ocean, painted with the colors of the setting sun, stirred something deep within me.
