Itinerary

Once you land at the Mohamed V Airport in Casablanca, your guide will meet you at your arrival gate to take you immediately to check-in to your hotel in Rabat, the Capital of Morocco. Relax and acclimate for the rest of your morning.

You will spend your afternoon with your local guide discovering the sightseeing delights of Rabat's historical landmarks. You will not miss a stroll in the souks of Rabat, with visits to Meshouar King's Palace, the Chellah Necropolis, Mohamed V mausoleum, and, of course, the Moorish citadel of Oudaya Kasbah, a remnant of Muslim Spain. Your guide will introduce you to the importance of this guild in Moroccan society's textile role. Finally, you will return to the hotel for dinner and other accommodations.

After morning meal, we will hit the road toward the Rif Mountains to explore antiquity in Morocco. After midday meal, we will visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun and the Roman ruins of Volubilis.

Our final destination today will be the fascinating city of Fez. You will visit the sights outside the ancient walled city, including the ramparts, the gates, and the Borjs (Moorish Forts). Dinner and accommodation will be at your riad.

Meet with your local guide after morning meal, then start your walking tour of the 9th-century Old Medina tour. Fez is an ancient Islamic City that stimulates the senses with its unsurpassed sophistication in arts and crafts, history and architecture, learning, and creativity. It is hands down endured ancient of the imperial capitals and the entire medieval city in the Islamic world. Fez is a world heritage by all means.

Time spent in this city is most rewarding as it reveals much about the sophistication of the Moroccan artisan, providing an unparalleled exploratory experience to everyone who is here to visit Fez. Devote the whole morning to visiting the Medina. Then, our specialized guide in Fes will take you on a historic discovery of the median and its satellites, starting at the King’s Palace and its Meshwar with ramparts and majestic gates.

You will end your walk at an Arab café terrace with a view that reflects the extraordinary encounters of your discovery today. You will be offered traditional mint tea with typical Moroccan cookies. Then, return to your hotel for dinner and other accommodations.

Today is devoted to exploring the rural environs of the Atlas Mountains natural sites and Berber villages, from the evergreen pines, tall cedar trees, and poplar laced with flowing streams in altitudes lower than 7000 ft to the stark high peaks of over 12000 ft.

We sometimes go off the road to explore some natural life and landscapes or nomadic enbase campments to break the driving routine and give you time to reflect on the beauty of these mountains and their dwellers.

Our midday meal will be at Midelt, the only real town in these ranges. We will leave the green mountains to encounter the reality of the largest desert on earth, the Sahara. You will then continue your quest towards Erfoud, one of the most delightful southern regions consisting of a dry, red belt of the desert punctuated by green valleys and some breathtaking oases. Visit the gorges of Ziz and some of the oases and natural sites before you reach the magnificent palm groves of Erfoud.

Once in Erfoud, we will meet our camel Caravan and ride to our base camp over the dunes of Merzouga. Tents are pitched for you to enjoy a night under the African Skies. Under an ethereal Milky Way setting, base camping under the starry African skies, you will enjoy this encounter of Man and nature at its best.

We will take you hiking the high dunes at dawn to meet the first ray of a heavenly sunrise from the heart of the Sahara desert. This is an experience that should not be missed. After morning meal in base camp, you will travel west toward the Valley of Todra, between the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. Next, you will begin hiking the valley of Todra. Finally, you will reach the narrowest canyons of Todra in a few kilometers. We will break for midday meal and continue exploring the desert Kasbah and valleys. We will get to the Dadès Valley in the afternoon, traveling through El Kelaâ De Mgouna and Boumalne to view the inimitable natural vistas and unusual rock formations. You will conclude your day with dinner and other accommodations in your hotel in Ouarzazate Oasis.

Start your day discovering the ceremonial route to Marrakech, visiting the legendary Kasbah of Aït-Benhaddou, a renowned architectural marvel classified as UNESCO World Heritage. Next, your day trip will lead you to the highest pass in Morocco, the Taddart and Tizi Tishka pass, at 11,000 feet, where we will stop for midday meal before reaching the best artificial oasis of Marrakech.

Marrakech is what we call in Morocco the city of pleasure for visitors and locals. Here, southern tribespeople and Berber villagers bring their goods to market and find a variety of divertissements. To visitors, the city is a feast for the senses with its red mud buildings contrasted by a vivid green of palm groves and lush gardens set down at the foot of snow-capped towering mountains. After an initial visit to the bustling Jemaa El Fna square, you will conclude your day retreating to your comfortable hotel.

Your local guide in Marrakech will take you on a historic visit to the city, which features the Menara, a medieval water reservoir surrounded by flowerbeds that reflect the image of an exquisite Moorish edifice.

Your tour will cover many impressive sites, including the Koutoubia Minaret (which is identical to la Giralda, a tower found in Sevilla, Spain), and the Saadian Dynasty Mausoleum, which demonstrates Moorish architecture at its best, the Bahia Palace then the colorful Souks in the old section of Marrakech. Finally, you will return to your hotel for dinner and other accommodations.

A mild hike will take you to this magnificent Valley in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Ourika Valley is where you will visit the traditional Berber Souks and the Jewish shrines. After midday meal, you will visit the Berber Museum of Arts and Crafts to learn about the Berber dwellers of these mountains and their products before you discover their workshops and sophisticated, hand-made products. Finally, you will return to Marrakech for dinner and other accommodations at your hotel.

You will begin your day by traveling to Essaouira (Mogador), a picturesque city with a rich history. With fascinating antiquity, Essaouira was founded by the Phoenicians and Carthaginians and was a Portuguese enclave for centuries.

Despite the apparent influence of these civilizations, Essaouira has managed to remain a small, authentic Berber town. Alive with the breath of fresh air provided by the Atlantic, Essaouira is a jewel nestled in the ragged coast, with a vast expanse of empty sands trailing back along the peninsula towards the South. Enjoy your guided tour of Essaouira, another bleu city.

You will travel to Casablanca in the morning, visit the high lights of the city with its great mosque, and then retreat to your hotel for a farewell dinner.

In the morning, your driver will meet you at your hotel to assist you with your luggage and transport you to Mohamed V Airport. Then, your driver will help you with your check-in and bid you farewell.
