Itinerary

Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech. We start by crossing the High Atlas Mountains, passing many charming Berber villages en route, and ascending to the highest peak of Tickha, where there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the stunning and picturesque views of the High Atlas Mountains range.

We will visit the Telouet Kasbah, built in the 18th century. This magnificent stronghold was the residence of the influential Glaoui family, who played a significant role in Moroccan politics. We will also visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a famous 17th-century fortress classified by UNESCO, to preserve and protect this renowned site. Over the years, its fame built on its appearances in films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Prince of Persia.

You will have midday meal at a restaurant near the Kasbah. The journey takes you past Skoura city, through the Valley of Roses towards Kalaat Megouna, and finally, entering Boumalne Dades, where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

After morning meal, our journey will be scenic toward the picturesque Todra Gorge in Tinghir. The awe-inspiring views of the gorge and its flowing river make it a sought-after destination for hikers. As you continue your journey, you'll pass through the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani, each offering unique glimpses into the local culture and heritage.

As the drive concludes at the edge of the desert, prepare for an extraordinary experience as you mount your camels or hop into the 4WD vehicle, venturing into the beautiful pink sands of Morocco's highest dunes. Take your time to wander and explore the dunes before settling down to witness the captivating sunset. As the evening sets in, indulge in a delectable Moroccan cuisine dinner and enjoy the melodic tunes of traditional live music around the base campfire. Engage in conversations with locals, embrace the rhythmic beats through drumming lessons, or bask in the tranquil ambiance of the desert. You will spend the night in cozy Berber tents, surrounded by the serene silence of the desert. Marvel at the breathtaking sight of the Milky Way stretching across the pitch-black night sky, and if luck permits, you may even catch a glimpse of shooting stars, adding a touch of magic to your desert experience.

Upon your request, our attentive staff will wake you up at dawn, ensuring you don't miss the mesmerizing spectacle of the desert sunrise. Watch in awe as the vibrant colors of the sand create a stunning contrast against the dunes, painting an incredible palette of shadows. You will have morning meal after experiencing this magical moment. Following morning meal, take some time to relax and unwind before embarking on a thrilling 4WD off-road tour, offering you an immersive desert experience. Begin by meeting and interacting with desert nomads in their traditional tents, gaining insight into their unique way of life. Next, drive across the high plateau of the rocky desert, enjoying panoramic views of the dunes and diverse desert landscapes. Your journey will lead you to the captivating "Ghost Town" of Mifis, an abandoned mining village where ancient eye cosmetics like Kohl and quartz were once excavated. Here, you may also spot fascinating fossils of turtles, trilobites, ammonites, and orthoclase, remnants of the creatures that inhabited this ancient sea millions of years ago. Continue your exploration from geology to music as you visit Khamlia Village, a town inhabited by darker-skinned Berbers. Immerse yourself in the unique sounds of Gnawa music, performed by local people who are descendants of ex-slaves who migrated to Morocco from Senegal and Sudan via the Salt Route. Enjoy a live show of Gnawa spiritual music and savor a delightful homemade Berber pizza for midday meal. Your journey continues to the oasis of Merzouga, where you can explore the community gardens and visit the nomadic depository. We drive to the Riad for the overnight stay.

We start our journey to Fes, leading us through Errachidia and the breathtaking Ziz Valley with its difficult passage. Along the way, we pass Midelt, a bustling commercial center surrounded by a vast agricultural landscape. The journey also takes us through the Cedar forests, renowned for being a habitat for the unique sub-population of Barbary macaques known as Macaca Sylvanus.

Our next stop is Ifrane, famous for its alpine-style architecture, nearby ski slopes, and pristine forests. As we continue our journey, you will be captivated by the iconic lion statue. By early evening, we will reach your accommodation in Fez.

Following morning meal at the hotel, our accredited local guide will accompany you on a walking tour of the Fes Medina. Step back in time as you wander through the labyrinth of twisting alleyways - donkeys and mules pass through the narrow streets, savor the aromas from the market stalls where countless spices and perfumes are traded, and explore the leather tanneries where men treat leather using century-old techniques. We’ll cap the day with dinner at one of the many local restaurants of the medina, then settle in for the evening at your hotel.

After morning meal, we set off on a drive to the charming city of Chefchaouen. Along the way, we stop at Meknes, renowned for its illustrious imperial history and architectural remnants. One of the main highlights is the Bab Mansour gate, famous for its impressive arches and exquisite mosaic tiling. We also visit the excavated ancient city of Volubilis, once the capital of the Mauretanian kingdom, where you can explore its rich historical heritage.

Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you'll be captivated by the enchanting sight of the blue-washed buildings that adorn its old town. You'll have some free time to explore the charming streets of Chefchaouen at your own pace. The city is famous for its picturesque main square, Place Outa el Hammam, where you can relax and soak in the ambiance. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the red-walled Kasbah, a 15th-century fortress with a fascinating dungeon, the nearby Ethnographic Museum, and the distinctive octagonal minaret. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture, shop for unique handicrafts, or enjoy the serene atmosphere of this remarkable city.

We will start our day with morning meal and then drive to Casablanca, passing through Ouazane and several villages and small towns. In Rabat, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Oudaya, a medieval fortified Muslim necropolis. We will also see the Hassan Tower - a minaret of an incomplete mosque built by the third Caliph of the Almohad Caliphate in 1195. Additionally, we will visit the Mohammed V mausoleum, where the tombs of three kings (Mohammad V, Hassan II, and Prince Abdallah) are located. The drive continues to Casablanca for the overnight stay.

After morning meal, we drive to Casablanca to visit Mohammad V square, an Airy square built in 1916 amid French Colonial buildings, with a statue and pigeon-covered fountain. Hassan II mosque was completed in 1993, designed by Michel Pinseau, and built by Bouygues. The mosque is considered the second-largest in Africa after the Algiers grand mosque and 7th in the world. The mosque also has the world's second-tallest minaret at 210 meters. The tour ends in Marrakech via the highway. Upon reaching Marrakech, our driver will assist you with your luggage and bid you farewell, ensuring you are comfortably settled in your chosen accommodation.
