MOROCCO ROAMER
Depending on your arrival time, you have the option to either spend the night in a traditional riad in Marrakech or proceed directly to Imlil, which is approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Marrakech, situated at the foothills of Jebel Toubkal (1740m). If you choose the latter, you'll stay in a traditional Berber house nestled at the base of the mountain.
The ascent to Jebel Toubkal begins early in the morning. After a hearty morning meal, a knowledgeable mountain guide will accompany you throughout the hike. A mule will be provided to carry your bags and the necessary supplies, including food and water, for the climb. Your experienced guide will lead you through the scenic Berber villages that dot the landscape as you ascend. Along the way, you'll pass by the revered shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2350m).
Upon reaching Toubkal refuge, you'll have time to rest and enjoy a freshly prepared midday meal by a local cook. Following this break, the journey continues upwards until you reach an altitude of 3200m. Here, shower facilities are available, and you'll be treated to a traditional Moroccan meal for dinner. Accommodation will be provided for the overnight stay, with tents available during the summer months.
