Morocco Magic Trip
Depending on your arrival time, you have the option to either spend the night in a traditional riad in Marrakech or proceed directly to Imlil, which is approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Marrakech, situated at the foothills of Jebel Toubkal (1740m). If you choose the latter, you'll stay in a traditional Berber house nestled at the base of the mountain.
The ascent to Jebel Toubkal begins early in the morning. After a hearty morning meal, a knowledgeable mountain guide will accompany you throughout the hike. A mule will be provided to carry your bags and the necessary supplies, including food and water, for the climb. Your experienced guide will lead you through the scenic Berber villages that dot the landscape as you ascend. Along the way, you'll pass by the revered shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2350m).
Upon reaching Toubkal refuge, you'll have time to rest and enjoy a freshly prepared midday meal by a local cook. Following this break, the journey continues upwards until you reach an altitude of 3200m. Here, shower facilities are available, and you'll be treated to a traditional Moroccan meal for dinner. Accommodation will be provided for the overnight stay, with tents available during the summer months.
Early wake-up call on the next day to avoid the strong rays of the summer sun. Breakfast will be served at 5 am, and the final ascent will commence around 5:30 am. Refreshments, including water, oranges, and nuts, will be provided during breaks. The continuous trek will last for 3-4 hours until you reach the summit (4167m). Once at the summit, there will be an opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views and take a rest. Following this, the descent from the mountain will begin, first reaching the hut where midday meal will be provided, and then returning to the village of Imlil for an overnight stay.
Breakfast will be served before departure from Imlil village. The next leg of the journey will take you to the Dades Valley via the Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass, crossing the High Atlas Mountains. There will be breaks for midday meal and coffee along the way.
Departing at 8 am from the scenic Dades Valley region, our journey continues towards the captivating Merzouga desert, passing through Tinehir and the stunning Todra Gorge. En route, we'll have the chance to explore the lush palm tree oases of Tinejdad and Tourang, soaking in the tranquil beauty of these verdant havens. As we traverse this desert landscape, we'll also witness the ancient canal irrigation systems used in the Erfoud and Rissani regions, providing insight into the ingenious methods of water management in this arid environment.
Upon arrival at the majestic dunes of Merzouga, our camel caravan awaits to lead us on an unforgettable trek to our overnight desert base camp. Here, nestled amidst the sands, our base camp offers modern bathroom facilities and comfortable accommodations for a restful night under the desert sky. As the sun sets, dinner will be served around a crackling base campfire, accompanied by the enchanting melodies of traditional desert tunes, creating a truly magical atmosphere.
A highlight of the experience is witnessing the early morning sunrise over the vast expanse of the desert, a breathtaking sight that should not be missed, weather permitting. After this mesmerizing spectacle, we'll embark on our return journey to the base of the Merzouga dunes, concluding our unforgettable desert adventure.
Travel westward from Merzouga through Rissani, Alnif, Tazarin, Agdez, and into the Draa Valley, eventually reaching Ouarzazat.
After morning meal, we'll journey back to Marrakech, with a stop to visit the Telouet Kasbah along the way. Upon arrival in Marrakech, you'll be dropped off at your accommodations. Enjoy some free time and spend the night.
After morning meal, meet your guide and embark on a journey to discover Marrakech's historical heritage. The visit includes iconic landmarks such as the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, Jemaa el-Fna Square, Souks, and the Secret Garden or Majorelle Garden. Enjoy some free time to explore further before returning to your accommodation for an overnight stay or transfer to the airport based on your flight schedule.
